An information technology (IT) consultant is typically involved in the evaluation of client needs, the analysis of applicable computer systems and planning implementation. Our IT consultancy focuses on the evaluation and implementation of new or existing computer systems, or network infrastructures.

Initially our consultant will meet the customer to determine the scope of the IT project and ensure that each party has realistic expectations of the outcome. Throughout the implementation process communication between client and consultant is vital i.e. software and hardware training needs should be established by agreement at the outset. Our consultant will include a thorough analysis of what the client is aiming for in the future and suggest several potential solutions explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each. The consultant will then develop a proposal in keeping with the aims and objectives of the company in question, outlining the implementation strategy and a list of necessary equipment.

If our client has an older system in need of upgrading or replacing, hardware implementation usually takes place out of office hours and tends to be run simultaneously with the old facilities as a precaution. Our consultant offers system design and installation as well as general management consultancy, 24 hour monitoring systems and nightly backups. The consultant can offer advice on IT infrastructure and guidance on how to use the system most effectively.

As an independent IT consultant our primary target group is small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The contract may vary from setting up a one person multimedia workstation to a ten person Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) with multiple printers. We have established links with many software and hardware suppliers that gives us access to equipment and gives our client's a wider choice.
